Award winning - best educational day out

We are proud to announce that we have been awarded as the Best Educational Day Out in the South West Coast for 2019. This year over 25,000 genuine families voted for their favourite attractions which made it very competitive and exciting.

It is rewarding to know that families and schools are pleased with the educational experience delivered by the Oceanarium and highly trained staff, and more importantly, that we are engaging with them in areas of conservation, education and influencing environmentally friendly behaviour in future generations.

Days out with Kids designed the annual awards to recognise the days out that really go the extra mile to deliver for families. All awards are voted for by real families, based on their own experiences, so people can trust that they all come with the seal of approval that really matters. 

We bring learning to life 

We aim to inspire visitors of all ages and abilities in an educational yet fun experience. With 12 spectacular naturally themed environments set across two floors, families and classes can engage in a global journey through the waters of the world venturing through the Amazon, River Ganges, Shark Wreck Reef and the Abyss.

With a huge variety of incredible wildlife representing the vast biodiversity on Earth, there are 1000’s of amazing creatures waiting to be encountered! From otters to penguins, turtles to jellyfish and fascinating sharks and stingrays, the habitats and importance of these awe inspiring creatures are here to be discovered.
