Calm at the Oceanarium

The Oceanarium is not only committed to providing a magical underwater experience for visitors but to also make everyone feels welcome and relaxed when they visit. With this in mind, we would like to introduce Calm at the Oceanarium; an event for families with sensory needs.

Families will be able to explore all of our enclosures at a calmer period of the day in general, in more relaxed lighting, screens and music turned off and no daily talks, so the focus is purely on the animals and the environment around you.

The sessions happen on the last Thursday of every month (excluding school holidays) and are from 3:45 pm -5 pm (Last entry 4 pm) During these calm sessions there will also be a silent otter feed at 4:00 pm. Please note calm sessions will not take place during school holidays.
