Calm at the Oceanarium

The Oceanarium is not only committed to providing a magical underwater experience for visitors but to also make everyone feel welcome and relaxed when they visit. With this in mind, we would like to introduce Calm at the Oceanarium; an event for families with sensory needs. Every Thursday (excluding school holidays), for two hours, families and visitors with autism, dementia and other sensory needs will be able to enjoy their underwater journey without the noise and distraction of our daily activities and talks.

Families will be able to explore all of our enclosures at a calmer period of the day in general, in more relaxed lighting, screens and music turned off and no daily talks, so the focus is purely on the animals and the environment around you.
