Ballan Wrasse
Labrus bergylta

All Ballan Wrasse are born female and change sex when they are 4-14 years old. Juveniles can act as cleaner fish to other species.

Ballan Wrasse are found around all coasts off the British Isles, they are found more frequently off Western coasts. Ballan Wrasse feed on molluscs & other invertebrates & use their large teeth to crush and grind their food.

There are currently no other creatures in this area of the world.
