Japanese spider crab
Macrocheira kaempferi

The Japanese spider crab is the world's largest crab, living at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean around Japan. Specimens have been found with a leg span of almost 4m, but ours are quite young and measure 1m from 'toe' to 'toe'.
